কি করে! বীরত্বের পরিচয় দুর্যোগের সময়। শাহবাগ গণজাগরণের শেষের দিকের
নেতা ইমরান এইচ সরকার বিরোধী দলনেতা বেগম খালেদা জিয়াকে কটাক্ষ করতে গিয়ে
বলেছিলেন, মুক্তিযুদ্ধ নষ্ট-ভ্রষ্টরাই করেছে। ভদ্রলোক নিশ্চয়ই তখন মায়ের
পেটে ছিলেন অথবা পেটে আসেনইনি। পেটে এসে থাকলে সেখানেই কমবেশি আওয়াজ
পেতেন। আর যদি ভূমিষ্ঠ হয়ে থাকেন, মায়ের দুধ খেতেও তো আওয়াজ পাওয়ার
কথা। পৃথিবীর যত বড় বড় যুদ্ধ হয়েছে, কোথাও নষ্ট-ভ্রষ্টের ইতিহাস নেই।
মহাবীর গাজী সালাহউদ্দিন আইয়ুবির জামানায় খেলাফতে কিছু ভ্রষ্ট জাঁকিয়ে
বসেছিল। কিন্তু তাদের কপালে বিজয় জোটেনি, জুটেছিল লানত আর লানত। তাই
পাঠকরা যখন ফোন করে, লেখাটি পড়ে দুই-তিন রাত ঘুমাতে পারেনি। বিশাল বিশাল
১০-১২ পৃষ্ঠাব্যাপী লিখে ঘুম হয়নি। এসব কথা শুনে আমারই কি খুব একটা হয়!
আজও লিখতে বসে মর্মযাতনা অনুভব করছি। বিরোধীদলীয় নেতা বেগম খালেদা জিয়া
সম্পর্কে জনাবের ওভাবে বলা কি মানায়? দেশে কি বড়-ছোটর কোনো বাছবিচার
থাকবে না? বর্তমান সরকারের সমর্থক, মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর আশিসপ্রাপ্ত।
তাই তিনি আমাকে গালাগাল করেছেন, মুক্তিযুদ্ধকে গালাগাল করেছেন,
মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের নষ্ট-ভ্রষ্ট বলেছেন। তারপরও ফাইভ স্টার হোটেলে সরকারি
হেফাজতে আছেন। সরকার তাকে পাহারা দিয়ে নিয়ে যায়, ইচ্ছামতো কথা বলায়।
প্রায় দেড়শ ঘণ্টা পার হতে চলেছে। জাদুঘরের সামনে রুমি স্কোয়াডের
যুবক-যুবতীরা অনশনে আছে। তারা যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের বিচার চায়, রাজাকারের ফাঁসি
চায়। তারপরও সে আন্দোলনকে তার পছন্দ নয়। এতে নাকি তার আন্দোলনের ক্ষতি
হচ্ছে। অত নিরাপদে আন্দোলন চলে না। আন্দোলন করতে বুকের পাটা লাগে, রাজনৈতিক
বুদ্ধি-বিবেচনা লাগে, কলাকৌশল শিখতে হয়। পত্রপত্রিকায় দেখেছি কাদের
মোল্লা ২৬ মার্চ মিরপুরে ৩৪০ জনকে হত্যা করেছে। ২৬ মার্চ বাঙালির কাউকে
হত্যা করার কোনো পথ ছিল না। ২৫ মার্চ পর্যন্ত সব বাঙালি ছিল আওয়ামী লীগের
পেছনে। ইচ্ছায় হোক অনিচ্ছায় হোক সব মোল্লাই তখন বঙ্গবন্ধুর নেতৃত্বে চলতে
বাধ্য হয়েছে। সব রাজনৈতিক দল বঙ্গবন্ধুকে সমর্থন করেছে। সে জামায়াত হোক
আর মুসলিম লীগ হোক বাইরে থাকার পথ বা উপায় ছিল না। আর ২৬ মার্চ পাকিস্তান
হানাদারদের কাছে কোনো বাঙালি আপন-পর ছিল না। সবাই ছিল গাদ্দার। বাঙালি
দালাল সৃষ্টি শুরু হয়েছিল আরও বেশকিছু পরে। তাই ২৬ মার্চ গণহত্যার অভিযোগ
আনলে সেখানে কোনো বাঙালিকে জড়ানোর সুযোগ কোথায়? কে আওয়ামী লীগ, কে
মুসলিম লীগ, কে জামায়াত_ পাকিস্তানি হানাদারদের কাছে ২৬ মার্চের কোনো
বিচার-বিবেচনা ছিল না। তাই বিষয়গুলো যার যার ইচ্ছামতো করে সাজালে চলবে না।
গায়ের জোরে অনেক কিছু করা যায়। আইন করে বিচার করা আর গায়ের জোরে হত্যা
করা এক কথা নয়।
বড় জ্বালায় পড়েছি। একই কথা আওয়ামী লীগ বললে ভালো, অন্যরা বললে খারাপ_ এমন আগে কখনো শুনিনি। বিএনপি নেত্রী বগুড়ায় বলেছিলেন, দেশের দুঃসময়ে সেনাবাহিনীকে সজাগ থাকতে হবে। মনে হলো আওয়ামী লীগের যেন আকাশ ভেঙে পড়েছে। চিৎকার শুরু করে দিল, খালেদা জিয়া সেনাবাহিনীকে উসকে দিচ্ছেন। সেই একই কথা মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী সেনাছাউনিতে গিয়ে বললেন, সেনাবাহিনী সব ষড়যন্ত্র মোকাবিলা করবে এবং গণতন্ত্রের পথ বাধামুক্ত রাখবে। সঙ্গে আবার এও বললেন, আওয়ামী লীগের সঙ্গে সেনাবাহিনীর দূরত্ব বাড়ানোর ষড়যন্ত্র হচ্ছে। আওয়ামী লীগের সঙ্গে নৈকট্য, বিএনপির সঙ্গে দূরত্ব_ এটা সেনাবাহিনীর কাজ নয়। সেনাবাহিনীর কাজ দেশ এবং দেশের জনগণের নৈকট্য। পৃথিবীর নানা দেশে আমাদের সৈন্যরা যদি বিবদমান পক্ষকে নিয়ন্ত্রণে রেখে শান্তি-শৃঙ্খলা বজায় রাখে, দেশের ভেতরে যদি শত শত হাজার হাজার মানুষ অকাতরে প্রাণ দেয় তাহলে এদের শান্তি মিশনে কেউ নেবে? প্রশ্নই আসে না, দেশের অভ্যন্তরীণ শান্তি রক্ষায় যারা কোনো ভূমিকা পালন করেনি তারা কীভাবে অন্যের দেশে শান্তি রক্ষা করবে? তাই বিষয়টি নিরাসক্তভাবে ভেবে দেখা দরকার।
হাইকোর্ট দুই নেত্রীর ওপর রুল জারি করেছেন সংলাপে বসতে। সুস্থভাবে ভেবে দেখলে আমাদের জন্য এর চেয়ে লজ্জার আর কিছু হতে পারে না। দেশের দুই মহান নেত্রী, অসংখ্য দেশবাসী তাদের জন্য বিভক্ত হয়ে আছে, দেশের কল্যাণে, দেশের স্বার্থে তারা নিজেরা মুখ দেখাদেখি করেন না। তাদের হাইকোর্টের আদেশে যদি মুখ দেখাদেখি করতে হয়, আলোচনা করতে হয় তাহলে সেটা আমাদের জন্য বড়ই দুঃখের। এ তো দেখছি কন্যার অমতে বাপ-মায়ের পছন্দে বিয়ের মতো। জনগণকে সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে হবে এরকম অপরিণামদর্শী নেতাদের প্রতি তারা আস্থা রাখবেন কিনা। আর ক'দিনের মধ্যেই ২০তম রাষ্ট্রপতি নির্বাচনের তফসিল ঘোষণা হবে। কেউ কেউ ভাবছেন দেশের স্বার্থে সর্বজনগ্রহণযোগ্য রাষ্ট্রপতি হবেন। কেন অমন হবে কেউ জানে না, কেউ বলতে পারে না। কিন্তু অনেকেরই আশা, অমন কেউ হবেন। কিন্তু তেমন হওয়ার বিন্দুমাত্র সম্ভাবনা নেই। আওয়ামী লীগ আওয়ামী লীগের জন্য যা ভালো বিবেচনা করবে বা জননেত্রী হাসিনা যেটা সঠিক মনে করবেন, সেটাই হবে। সেখানে দেশ ভেসে গেল কি গেল না সেটা কোনো বিবেচনায় আসবে না। মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী যদি পার্লামেন্টারি ফরম অব গভর্নমেন্ট রাখতে চান তাহলে তিনি প্রেসিডেন্ট প্রার্থী নাও হতে পারেন। আবার হতেও পারেন। কারণ রেকর্ড করার তার একটা বাতিক আছে। সত্তরবার প্রধানমন্ত্রী হলেও বাংলাদেশের প্রথম মহিলা প্রধানমন্ত্রী হিসেবে খালেদা জিয়ার নাম আসবে। সেক্ষেত্রে তার কোনো রেকর্ড করার সুযোগ নেই। তবে রাষ্ট্রপতি হলে অবশ্যই বলতে পারবেন গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশের তিনিই প্রথম মহিলা রাষ্ট্রপতি। নির্বাহী রাষ্ট্রপতি হলেও হতে পারেন, জায়নামাজের হলেও হতে পারেন। মহিলা রাষ্ট্রপতি হলে জানাজার পথ থাকবে না, কারণ মহিলারা পুরুষের জানাজায় শরিক হতে পারে না। শোনা যাচ্ছে, তিনি রাষ্ট্রপতি হলে বোন রেহানাকে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বানাতে পারেন। এমন হতেও পারে। কেউ কেউ বলছেন, মাননীয় স্পিকার কিংবা সাজেদা চৌধুরী অথবা মতিয়া চৌধুরী। আলোচনা হতে পারে কিন্তু এদের কেউ রাষ্ট্রপতি হবেন না। মহিলা রাষ্ট্রপতি হলে জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনার বাইরে কেউ হবেন না_ এটা বাজি ধরে বলতে পারি। তবে পুরুষ রাষ্ট্রপতি হলে আওয়ামী লীগের কাজে লাগে, জননেত্রীর কথায় রাতদিনের পার্থক্য করবেন না এমন কেউ হবেন। সামনের বিপদে অস্থায়ী রাষ্ট্রপতি আবদুল হামিদের মতো মেরুদণ্ডের লোক নিয়ে পার পাওয়া সম্ভব নয়। পুরুষ হলে অন্য কেউ আর মহিলা হলে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী নিজে_ এর বাইরে এখন চিন্তা করাও মুশকিল।
আজ ক'দিন ধরে জাতীয় পার্টির প্রধান সাবেক রাষ্ট্রপতি হুসেইন মুহম্মদ এরশাদ নানা ধরনের কথা বলছেন। মানুষ কখনো আশান্বিত হচ্ছে, আবার কখনো হতাশ। মহাজোটে থেকে মহাজোটের মতো এমন বাজে সরকার তিনি কখনো দেখেননি। আবার ধ্বনি মিলিয়ে না যেতেই মিরপুর-এয়ারপোর্ট ফ্লাইওভারের শুভ উদ্বোধনে প্রতিধ্বনি করলেন, সরকারের দুর্দিনে বা প্রধানমন্ত্রীর দুঃসময়ে পাশে থাকবেন। মানুষ কোনটা বিশ্বাস করবে? রাজনীতির প্রধান নিয়ামক শক্তি বিশ্বাস। হুসেইন মুহম্মদ এরশাদকে নিয়ে সেই বিশ্বাসের সংকটে পড়েছে দেশের জনগণ।
আগামী ৬ এপ্রিল হেফাজতে ইসলাম লংমার্চ করতে চলেছে। আল্লাহতায়ালা নিজেই বলেছেন, ইসলামের হেফাজত আমি করব। কিন্তু এখন ইসলামের হেফাজতের জন্য প্রবীণ ওলামাদের রাস্তায় নামতে হচ্ছে। আল্লাহ নিজ হাতে কিছু করেন না, বান্দা দিয়েই করান। বর্তমানে সত্যিই ইসলামের দুর্দিন না হলেও মুসলমানের মনোবলের বড় দুঃসময়। অনেকেই মনে করেন বা মুখে বলেন, তিনি সেকুলার বা ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ। আমি আমার ধর্মে বিন্দুমাত্র নিরপেক্ষ নই। আমার ধর্মে আমি চরম গোঁড়া। আমি নিরপেক্ষ অন্য সবার ধর্মে। আমার ধর্ম বিশ্বাস বাদে অন্য সব ধর্মের প্রতি আমার সমান শ্রদ্ধা। তাই হেফাজতে ইসলামের এই পদক্ষেপের প্রতি লাখো কোটি মুসলমান এবং মানবতাবাদী মানুষের অকুণ্ঠ সমর্থন রয়েছে। আমার স্ত্রী তেমন রাজনীতি করেন না, খুব একটা বোঝেনও না। কিন্তু লাদেনকে যেদিন মেরে ফেলা হয়, ঘুম থেকে উঠে খবরের কাগজ হাতে নিয়ে উদ্বিগ্ন কণ্ঠে বলেছিলেন, 'শেষ পর্যন্ত লাদেনকেও মেরে ফেলল? এখন আর কেউ মুসলমানদের সমীহ করবে না।' আমি তার উৎকণ্ঠা হৃদয় দিয়ে অনুভব করেছিলাম। শাহবাগে ধর্মীয় রাজনীতি বন্ধের যে জিকির উঠেছিল তা কিন্তু বৌদ্ধ, খ্রিস্টান, হিন্দুর রাজনীতি বন্ধের নয়, দাবিটা ছিল মুসলমানের রাজনীতি বন্ধের। এসবই এক সুদূরপ্রসারী ষড়যন্ত্রের ফসল। সরকার হেফাজতে ইসলামের লংমার্চে বাড়াবাড়ি করলে পরিণতি খুবই খারাপ হবে। যদিও মহারাজাকার হোম মিনিস্টার দেখামাত্র গুলি করার বাসনা নিয়ে বন্দুক হাতে বসে আছেন। তিনি ভাবছেন মানুষ না মেরে বসে বসে আঙ্গুল চুষবেন? না, তাকে আঙ্গুল চুষতে হবে না, তিনি কামান দাগতে পারেন। দাগলেও পরিণতি তার ভালো হবে না। পাকিস্তানিদের সেবাদাস হয়ে বিষয়টা উপলব্ধি না করলে এবার তা তাকে কড়ায়-গণ্ডায় উপলব্ধি করতে হবে।

আগামী ৬ এপ্রিল হেফাজতে ইসলাম লংমার্চ করতে চলেছে। আল্লাহতায়ালা নিজেই বলেছেন, ইসলামের হেফাজত আমি করব। কিন্তু এখন ইসলামের হেফাজতের জন্য প্রবীণ ওলামাদের রাস্তায় নামতে হচ্ছে। আল্লাহ নিজ হাতে কিছু করেন না, বান্দা দিয়েই করান। বর্তমানে সত্যিই ইসলামের দুর্দিন না হলেও মুসলমানের মনোবলের বড় দুঃসময়। অনেকেই মনে করেন বা মুখে বলেন, তিনি সেকুলার বা ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ। আমি আমার ধর্মে বিন্দুমাত্র নিরপেক্ষ নই। আমার ধর্মে আমি চরম গোঁড়া। আমি নিরপেক্ষ অন্য সবার ধর্মে। আমার ধর্ম বিশ্বাস বাদে অন্য সব ধর্মের প্রতি আমার সমান শ্রদ্ধা। তাই হেফাজতে ইসলামের এই পদক্ষেপের প্রতি লাখো কোটি মুসলমান এবং মানবতাবাদী মানুষের অকুণ্ঠ সমর্থন রয়েছে। আমার স্ত্রী তেমন রাজনীতি করেন না, খুব একটা বোঝেনও না। কিন্তু লাদেনকে যেদিন মেরে ফেলা হয়, ঘুম থেকে উঠে খবরের কাগজ হাতে নিয়ে উদ্বিগ্ন কণ্ঠে বলেছিলেন, 'শেষ পর্যন্ত লাদেনকেও মেরে ফেলল? এখন আর কেউ মুসলমানদের সমীহ করবে না।' আমি তার উৎকণ্ঠা হৃদয় দিয়ে অনুভব করেছিলাম। শাহবাগে ধর্মীয় রাজনীতি বন্ধের যে জিকির উঠেছিল তা কিন্তু বৌদ্ধ, খ্রিস্টান, হিন্দুর রাজনীতি বন্ধের নয়, দাবিটা ছিল মুসলমানের রাজনীতি বন্ধের। এসবই এক সুদূরপ্রসারী ষড়যন্ত্রের ফসল। সরকার হেফাজতে ইসলামের লংমার্চে বাড়াবাড়ি করলে পরিণতি খুবই খারাপ হবে। যদিও মহারাজাকার হোম মিনিস্টার দেখামাত্র গুলি করার বাসনা নিয়ে বন্দুক হাতে বসে আছেন। তিনি ভাবছেন মানুষ না মেরে বসে বসে আঙ্গুল চুষবেন? না, তাকে আঙ্গুল চুষতে হবে না, তিনি কামান দাগতে পারেন। দাগলেও পরিণতি তার ভালো হবে না। পাকিস্তানিদের সেবাদাস হয়ে বিষয়টা উপলব্ধি না করলে এবার তা তাকে কড়ায়-গণ্ডায় উপলব্ধি করতে হবে।
